WWE is close to having two notable free agents start with the company full-time in NXT.
The NXT brand is approaching the premiere episode of the CW Network. On Tuesday, October 1, NXT will travel to Allstate Arena in Chicago with a loaded card and an appearance by CM Punk.
A few months ago, Dave Meltzer reported that Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) were expected to sign with WWE. On Thursday, PW Nexus (@hashtagPWN), which has broken past stories, reported that the tag team is NXT-bound and their debut could happen as soon as the CW Network premiere.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Sabin and Shelley are expected to start imminently in NXT. No further details were given. Meltzer did note on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier this week that WWE hopes this premiere episode of NXT will draw a million viewers.
They formed the tag team in 2007 and have been successful in every promotion they’ve worked for, including TNA, ROH, and NJPW.
