WWE is about to land a top set of free agents and could have them make their official debut on the upcoming premiere episode of the CW Network.
NXT will travel to Allstate Arena in Chicago on Tuesday, October 1, for the premiere episode with a loaded card. CM Punk will also appear in the matches on tap.
Dave Meltzer reported in July that Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) were expected to sign with WWE. However, nothing has been reported about their status since then.
PW Nexus (@hashtagPWN), which has broken past stories, reported today that the tag team is NXT-bound. It was added that their debut could happen as soon as the CW Network premiere.
Sources close to #PWNexus have informed us that MCMG are #WWENXT bound, with their debut potentially as soon as NXT's CW premiere. We are working to reach out to other sources to further confirm.

They formed the tag team in 2007 and have found success in every promotion they’ve worked for, including ROH and NJPW. While in TNA, they both held the World and X-Division Titles. Together, they’re three-time Tag Team Champions.
Sabin has never wrestled in WWE, while Shelly worked three matches in 2020 for NXT, two of which were at house shows and one part on NXT TV as part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2020. He and Kushida lost a first-round match.
