Top independent star not signing with WWE?

It’s looking like Cruiserweight Classic competitor Zack Sabre, Jr. is not going to sign a deal with WWE. It’s said that he wants to achieve some things outside of the company and people he’s dealt with have been told that he’s made the decision not to sign with WWE, at least for now.

In Japanese media interviews, Kota Ibushi is saying that he has not signed with WWE. That could be true but we should keep in mind that everyone that is signed or has agreed to a deal is being told to keep things quiet until WWE makes the official announcement. The difference between Ibushi and Sabre is that Ibushi is not saying that he won’t be signing with them.

There has been talk within WWE about Sabre’s wrestling style and the feeling among some is that he made things look “easy” and not combative in the CWC. On twitter, Fit Finlay publicly said that he’s not a fan of Sabre’s style. Sabre could still end up doing more work for WWE but it wouldn’t be full-time unless something changes.
