WWE has signed another star to a contract.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Mercedes Martinez is headed to the company after inking a deal. SoCalUncensored first reported the news. Per the report, she is slated to travel to Orlando, Florida to start training at the WWE Performance Center later this month.
Martinez started in the pro wrestling business back in November of 2000 where she has a following in the independent women’s wrestling scene.
During her time in the business, she has wrestled for Women’s Superstars Uncensored, World Xtreme Wrestling, Shine, and Shimmer.
While with Shine, she won the top championship back on December 13 but dropped it to Ivelisse the following day. She has worked for All Elite Wrestling by being part of the Women’s Casino Battle Royal at All Out last August as well as worked a match in November on an episode of Dark.
She also has a history with WWE by competing in both Mae Young Classic tournaments and suffered a loss to Ember Moon on the November 15, 2017 edition of the show.
