The WWE is the leading promotion in professional wrestling by leaps and bounds. Typically, the company can throw enough money out to scoop up any indy stars they want. Sometimes, however, loyalty prevails. That was the case with Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling star Adam Page.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, Page turned down an offer from WWE in order to stay with his Bullet Club stablemates. In the latest episode of “Being The Elite” on YouTube, this was hinted at. Page was sent a pair of boots with a note that read ” If you want to be an assassin, be more cerebral. – H.” Check out the video below:
The 27-year-old has been in the professional wrestling industry since 2011. He has established himself as one of the indy scene’s top stars after working for promotions like ROH, NJPW, and Pro Wrestling Guerilla. While he may find himself in WWE one day, it doesn’t look like it will be happening anytime soon.
