WWE has officially announced two major SuperShow live events in Mexico for this July, featuring a roster of top stars from WWE and the world of lucha libre. The announcement is a major step in the company’s planned expansion into the Latin American market.
The events are scheduled for Saturday, July 26, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, and Sunday, July 27, at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey.
A poster for the events advertises a stacked lineup, including WWE mainstays like Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins. They are joined by lucha libre legends and current top stars such as Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Rey Fenix, highlighting the crossover potential following WWE’s acquisition of AAA.
These events come just over a month after the successful Worlds Collide show co-promoted by WWE and AAA. While the “Supershow” branding is typically used for non-televised live events, the star power advertised for these shows suggests WWE is treating the tour as a significant part of its international strategy.
