Top WWE Executives Not Backstage At Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE is set to deliver Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight, November 1, but two of the company’s most important backstage names will not be at the show. Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that neither Triple H nor Bruce Prichard is backstage for the event. This is described as a “rare” occurrence for them to miss a show like this. Both men were, however, present at the WWE SmackDown taping the night before.

Top Executives Absent

The absence of Prichard and Triple H is significant given their roles. Bruce Prichard is the Executive Director, overseeing both Raw and SmackDown. Triple H holds the title of COO (Chief Content Officer) and is the person who usually runs the ship from the Gorilla Position during major events.

Road Dogg’s Status

While those two are missing, the report noted that Road Dogg was at SmackDown. This was his first appearance backstage in a few weeks. Road Dogg currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Live Events and is also a creative mind on SmackDown as a head writer.

The report concluded that WWE has arranged a “well-oiled machine.” Even with key members missing, the company is able to “make things work with the people backstage.” Here is the lineup for the show:

  • Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
  • WWE World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
  • WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rusev vs. Penta
