Top WWE NXT star expected to be a regular on Raw shortly

Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will be a regular on Raw shortly.

Dave Meltzer reported the news in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This has been expected for quite some time but her move to the main roster has been delayed.

Meltzer noted that she is leaving NXT, which is something that has been planned for probably close to a year. It noted in the report that “those on the NXT roster aren’t allowed to be called up right now unless it’s something planned long-term.”

Baszler’s last match on NXT was a win over Shotzi Blackheart on the January 22nd episode on the USS Network.

Baszler entered into the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in Houston, Texas at the Minute Maid Park as a surprise entrant.

She entered the match at #30 where she tossed out 8 other competitors before being the final elimination by Charlotte Flair, who ended up winning the match.
