Top WWE star dealing with a neck injury

It’s been a while since Randy Orton has been involved in a significant storyline and it looks like the reason why is because he is dealing with neck issues. On the recent Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer briefly mentioned Orton’s bad neck but also noted that it’s not keeping him out of the ring.

“Randy Orton has got a bad neck but that’s not keeping him out of action or anything like that,” Meltzer said about Orton.

Hopefully, this means that it’s nothing too serious but it’s interesting that he’s not booked for Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Orton has dealt with various injuries over the years but he’s said that he would like to continue wrestling for another 10 years or so.

Since WrestleMania 35, Orton has only wrestled on a handful of live events. His last high profile match was at WWE Super ShowDown against Triple H in Saudi Arabia. Most recently, he’s been losing matches to Aleister Black at live events. He lost matches to Black at events in Binghamton and Glen Falls, NY.

For what it’s worth, he is listed on local advertising in Toronto for SummerSlam so, perhaps, he will be integrated into WWE SmackDown TV storylines soon.
