A couple of readers asked where WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was on Tuesday night. Mahal was at Smackdown on Tuesday but he was not featured on TV. Instead, Mahal (with The Singh Brothers in his corner) defended the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode in the dark match after 205 Live. Mahal did not do a lot in the match and there’s a good reason for that.
As you can see below, his shoulder is hurting and he’s been wearing Kinesio tape on it. He didn’t have the tape on at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, but he’s been wearing it at the recent live events.
We actually heard about the shoulder injury (considered to be a minor injury and nothing too serious) last month and there has been a slight difference in his physique recently so the injury is clearly affecting his workouts.
Here is Mahal with the tape on his shoulder (pictured with former WWE Superstar Vladimir Koslov):
We don’t know yet what the plan is for Mahal at the next pay-per-view but it looks like they are moving on from his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura.
