Coming out of the WWE Survivor Series PLE on Saturday, there appeared to be hints of GUNTHER turning babyface in the near future. Well, it looks like it’s happened or is in the process of happening.
Tonight on WWE Raw, Gunther defeated Dominik Mysterio and then was attacked by Finn Balor. Earlier in the show, Balor stated his intentions to challenge for the World Championship. Gunther instead gave a match to Dominik.
The story is that Gunther never wanted Finn to interfere on his behalf at the PLE because he wanted to show that he had not lost a step and that he could win on his own. The attack by Balor on tonight’s show made Gunther look like a total babyface so, at least for now, that appears to be where his character is.
