Top WWE Star Has Not Signed a New Deal

2024 could see a lot of movement within the wrestling business with stars entering free agency, including those in WWE, AEW, TNA Wrestling, and NJPW.

Free agency

WWE stars such as Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Finn Balor, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins have deals coming up. Other stars, such as Kazuchika Okada, could make the jump to AEW or WWE.

McIntyre’s name has been one on the minds of fans and what he may do in 2024 as he knows what it’s like to be outside the WWE bubble. McIntyre is reportedly willing to let his contract expire, if necessary, so he can spend more time with his family in Scotland.

Pwinsider reports McIntyre has not signed a new deal, as nothing has changed regarding his status. If a new deal is not signed, then the former WWE Champion would become a free agent with no non-compete clause preventing him from signing with another promotion right away after WrestleMania 40 in April.

It would’ve expired earlier if he hadn’t taken time off after WrestleMania 39 last year, and time was added to it because of that hiatus. WWE has re-signed some talent already, as since the Endeavor acquisition, the company is looking to lock down talent to long-term, big-money deals.
