WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill has revealed a surprising future goal and she already has a manager in mind for it.
Speaking with 8 News Now in Las Vegas ahead of WrestleMania 42, Cargill was asked about the influence of the late Chyna, who famously won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and whether she would be interested in following in those footsteps. Cargill said yes and went a step further.
“Of course. If they let me and, listen, I would love Paul Heyman to be my manager if I’m going that route. But, if they let me, I would love that and I would take over for sure. Of course,” Cargill said.
When the interviewer suggested that Cargill and Heyman would be next-level, she had a simple response: “Let it happen, guys. Let it happen.”
The current Women’s Intercontinental Championship is held by AJ Lee, who defends against Becky Lynch on night one of WrestleMania 42 on April 18. Cargill defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley on night two on April 19.
