WWE may be moving one of its top stars to a different brand after making a surprise return at the Royal Rumble.
AJ Styles, who had been off television for months due to injury, is back from injury. He was sidelined months ago on an episode of SmackDown, where he worked a match with Carmelo Hayes. After the bout, WWE later announced Styles had a mid-foot ligament sprain.
Styles later revealed that he had a Lisfranc injury and was “cooked” and stated the injury had been challenging. He returned in the Men’s Royal Rumble bout.
PWInsider.com reports that there was talk at the Royal Rumble over the weekend that Styles may be moving over to the Raw brand in the weeks ahead. It’s unclear what WWE has planned for him going forward.
