Top WWE Star Not Expected To Wrestle Until SummerSlam

WWE is just a few weeks away from presenting SummerSlam, with several top bouts already confirmed, including Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. GUNTHER, and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley.

Ripley returned to WWE television last week, and just like then, Monday’s Raw didn’t see her get physical with Morgan or anyone else. She had been sidelined since April due to an AC joint sprain in her shoulder. PWInsider.com reports Ripley is not expected to wrestle until SummerSlam.

The reason for this is because Ripley has not been 100% cleared for physicality. Sources have said they expect that to change by the time SummerSlam rolls around. Until she’s cleared, she won’t be getting physical. Instead, they will work around the physicality.

There was also talk of Ripley returning to storylines at Summerslam or the Raw the day after. However, WWE opted to go with her vs. Morgan at Summerslam.

Partially, the decision was made because  Ripley said that she believed she would be good to go SummerSlam on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH.
