UPDATE: Alvarez later clarified that he didn’t mean to say she recently signed a new deal abd he meant her previous deal.
ORIGINAL: For months, the rumors have swirled about Sasha Banks’ status with WWE. It was heavily speculated that she wanted out of the company after cryptic tweets and some AEW-related retweets. AEW also signed her good friends Private Party for their tag team division.
The speculation about her immediate future with the company was to put to rest when she returned to Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago but there’s been some question about how much time she had left on her contract.
The AEW rumors can be put to rest because Banks will remain with WWE for a long time. Bryan Alvarez was discussing the perception that wrestlers in WWE are unhappy. He noted that some aren’t but they still love wrestling and others are happy with Roman Reigns being cited as an example. Alvarez also noted that Banks recently signed a new deal with the company. WWE has been locking up wrestlers to longer-term deals so she’s likely locked in somewhere around 3-5 years.
Banks is scheduled to challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view.
Banks recently liked a tweet of a fan pretending to beg Sasha Banks to stay by offering more money.
