Back in February, Asuka worked a tag team bout alongside Charlotte Flair against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on an episode of Monday Night Raw. During it, she was kicked in the mouth and lost a tooth.
Although at the time, there was speculation that she suffered a concussion as a result, but WWE does not post updates when a talent is concussed. Thus, there was nothing confirmed. She made her return to television back on the March 15th edition of Raw to get her storyline revenge on Baszler for the kick.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Asuka had oral surgery on her teeth on March 26th. The Raw star uploaded a vlog that documented the surgery, as seen below:
Asuka is currently slated to defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37. Although not confirmed, there is speculation that Flair will be added to the match and make it a three-way bout as she was the original opponent of Asuka before she was put on the sidelines.
