Top WWE Star Suffers Broken Nose

Rhea Ripley sustained an injury during WWE’s recent live event tour in Tokyo, Japan. The incident occurred on the second night of back-to-back shows at the Ryogoku Sumo Hall, resulting in a broken nose for the former Women’s World Champion. The injury happened during a tag team match where Ripley was actively involved.

How the Injury Occurred

Ripley was teaming with IYO SKY against The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), and during a specific spot in the match, Ripley attempted to catch IYO SKY, who was being thrown over the top rope to the floor. The impact resulted in Ripley suffering a bloody nose.

According to fan reports from the event, Ripley was immediately attended to by medical staff and escorted to the backstage area. Bryan Alvarez later confirmed the severity of the injury, reporting to his subscribers on X, “Rhea broke her nose on the house show loop”.

Ripley’s Reaction and Return

Despite the painful injury, Ripley displayed her toughness. She later returned to the ring for the closing moments of the show, joining other WWE Superstars for AJ Styles’ emotional farewell speech to the Japanese crowd after what was likely his final match in the country.

Following the event, Ripley took to social media, posting several images showing her swollen and bruised nose, including a side-by-side comparison with her dog. She maintained a positive attitude, captioning one post directed at the fans in Japan: “Thank you Japan 😂 I still love you!”.
