As first noted earlier this week by Pro Wrestling Sheet, there have been talks to launch a new weekly live show and it would air exclusively on Facebook Live after Smackdown. One of the ideas pitched was to feature Superstars from both Raw and Smackdown in mixed tag team matches. That might also be the reason why they brought up so many women to the main roster this week.
Earlier this month, we reported that WWE registered for the "Mixed Match Challenge" trademark. What is interesting about the trademark filing is that they mention that it would be used for a show about professional wrestling.
The filing states that the trademark would be, in part, for "Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal."
So, that seems to be the likely name for the show. They have not filed for any other TV show names in recent weeks. If the show gets picked up by Facebook Live, then that would mean that they would have to tape 205 Live if they want to keep it in it's current timeslot. My guess is that they would tape it before Smackdown Live and delay the airing on the WWE Network until the Facebook Live show is over.
