Michelle Beadle sent out a tweet shortly after the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight where she distanced herself from Triple H and WWE due to Triple H’s support of Floyd Mayweather.
Beadle claimed yesterday, before the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, that she and CNN’s Rachel Nichols were denied press credentials for the fight. Beadle and Nichols have publicly condemned Mayweather for his history of domestic violence against women. Mayweather’s publicist Kelly Swanson denies this and chalked it up to miscommunication but a source told Deadspin.com that Swanson told the CBS-owned Showtime that there’s “no way” that Nichols would get in to the fight.
Triple H has been a huge supported of Floyd Mayweather since the two became friends after the Mayweather-Big Show angle from 2008. Triple H has appeared at Mayweather fights in the past and did an interview this past week talking about Mayweather’s connection with WWE. Beadle, a huge WWE fan, helped get them some good publicity on ESPN during WrestleMania week with Brock Lesnar’s announcement on SportsCenter that he would be staying with WWE and not going to UFC and she did an interview with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman on ESPN Grantland to help promote WrestleMania.
Here are Triple H’s tweets from before and after the fight, followed by Beadle’s tweet that she sent out after the fight:
