Triple H comments on possibly signing Kenny Omega

Triple H has been doing the media rounds to promote this weekend’s WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament, and during a media call, he was asked by ESPN if he is interested in signing Kenny Omega to a WWE contract when Omega’s contract with NJPW expires on January 31st.

“As far as a Kenny Omega goes, I’m just interested in talent, period.” He said that if somebody is talented as a performer and they want to join WWE, then that’s their choice to showcase what they can do on the largest platform in the world. He said if they want to come work for WWE and they’re talented then he is interested in talking to them and that’s across the board. He said that anytime anyone questions him on talent then that means that person is probably pretty talented. Triple H added that “yes, I’m interested.”

Time will tell if Omega and WWE come to an agreement on a deal. As we’ve noted before, Omega’s current deal with NJPW expires on 1/31 and if he has signed a new deal with them then he has done a good job at keeping it a secret. Dave Meltzer noted earlier this week that people close to Omega believe that he will be staying with NJPW. Omega continues to keep things close to the vest and the recent social media posts from John Cena are continuing to fuel rumors the Omega-WWE rumors.
