ESPN.com‘s Andrew Feldman has a new article looking at the development of several NXT wrestlers. During the article, Triple H commented on NXT Champions The Authors of Pain and Aleister Black.
The Authors of Pain (Askam and Rezar) signed with WWE in 2016. Since then, they have been on a tear in NXT alongside their legendary manager Paul Ellering. In just five months of their NXT debut, they won the NXT Tag Team Championships. Triple H is high on the tag team who had no pro wrestling experience before signing with the company.
“There’s a few guys in our performance center right now that are just sort of guys you’ve never heard of that have never been anywhere. Not even in the indies. The two kids in [the Authors of Pain] tag team in NXT. Those are two kids we picked them from nothing. No experience. Period. Anything. A year later, they are a really, really good tag team. There’s a lot of talent like that.”
Black, who went by the name Tommy End on the independent scent, is someone that “The Game” has his sights set on and believes that he has big potential.
“Aleister Black is very talented. I think he’s going to be a player.”
Triple H also discussed Otis Dozovic’s development and more. You can read the entire interview here.
