Triple H comments on why he’s thankful he didn’t have to work WrestleMania 36

Several years ago, Triple H took a step back from being a full-time wrestler in order to take further responsibility as an executive in WWE.

He serves as the head of NXT and is in charge of finding and developing new talent for the company.

Typically, the former WWE Champion only works a few matches per year including at WrestleMania. However, this year is different as he doesn’t have a match booked.

Triple H commented on not working WrestleMania this year while doing a recent interview on ESPN’s SportsCenter. In fact, he’s happy that he doesn’t have a match.

“Right now, I’m a full-time office guy. It’s funny, ironically I wasn’t scheduled to be in this year’s WrestleMania anyways. Every year as time goes by, it gets more and more hectic for me. Getting in the ring just becomes an added burden.

Especially this year, with the way things turned out, and what we wanted to accomplish, I was very thankful I wasn’t scheduled to be in the ring this year, because it would have been almost virtually impossible to do everything else that’s happening.”

Triple H also talked about Roman Reigns deciding against working WrestleMania 36 where he was originally slated to take on Universal Champion Goldberg. For more on that, click here.
