Triple H Confirms WWE SmackDown Will Switch Back To A Two-Hour Format

In December, WWE finally announced that WWE Friday Night SmackDown would become a three-hour show on the USA Network. That started on the January 3rd episode. This comes after Raw moved to be at least a three-hour show starting tonight with Netflix.

The USA opted years ago to have Raw be a three-hour show, and it appears they thought it would be wise to do so for SmackDown as well. However, it won’t be sticking for the entire time that SmackDown is on the network.

SmackDown is slated to drop the extra hour sometime this year, according to Triple H. While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Triple H stated the show would move back to two hours.
