The morale in WWE has been noticeably different since Vince McMahon’s interview on the Steve Austin podcast according to sources. Morale was already down before the podcast. The feeling in WWE is that McMahon crapped on most of the locker room except for Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and Roman Reigns.
Some of the stuff McMahon said, particulary the stuff about nobody wanting to reach for the brass ring hit home with talent who has had stop-and-start pushes and were never booked in a way that would help them be seen as more than just a mid carder. McMahon’s burial of Cesaro has been brought up. He was a guy that was looked at by management as being a guy who could be a top babyface for the company. He’s been off the main WWE shows of late and has been on WWE Superstars and WWE Main Event.
After morale dropped following the McMahon interview, Triple H gave a speech to the roster. The speech came off to them as an attempt to do damage control and backfired. The NXT roster loves Triple H but the main roster doesn’t feel the same way and he has lost a lot credibility, especially among talent that has been there for a long time.
