It was previously reported that Triple H had to miss Monday’s Raw and Wednesday’s NXT, but at the time, there was no official word as to why. WWE NXT dealt with a COVID-19 outbreak over the last week. As a result, it caused some changes to be made to the lineup of Wednesday’s NXT.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Triple H is in quarantine after the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
When he missed those shows, there was a concern that he might’ve been part of those who either tested positive or came into contact with someone with the virus. The report noted Triple H’s situation is being kept secretive.
Meltzer wrote, “His situation is being kept secretive but it was said he was quarantining, but not that he has COVID.”
With Triple H being absent from NXT TV this week, WWE Hall of Famers “Road Dogg” Brian James and Shawn Michaels were in charge.
As noted, Leon Ruff, Isiah “Swerve” Scott, Timothy Thatcher, Alexander Wolfe, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae were not backstage at the show. The report goes onto state referee Drake Younger, Pete Dunne, Wes Lee, and Nash Carter of MSK, and The Grizzled Young Veterans were also not at the show.
