Recently, WWE hired James Long to work behind-the-scenes for their NXT brand. Long was previously working as a head producer and video editor for IMPACT Wrestling following his stint as an indy wrestler.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the loss of Long is seen as a major blow to IMPACT Wrestling. Long was IMPACT Wrestling’s lead producer for promos and vignettes, and was referred to as a genius who had the ability to bring everything he did to life.
Long’s brilliance can be witnessed first-hand in a lot of the Broken Hardy content from IMPACT Wrestling. Long played a major role in producing those segments alongside Jeremy Borash – who is also now working for NXT. Interestingly enough, the Observer notes that a lot of these recent hires are expected to be a part of Triple H’s team when he finally takes over and begins running the main roster.
“The Game” seems to be gathering some of the best in the business in preparation for when that time comes.
