Triple H makes a big announcement about the return of the WWE UK Tournament
During the Business Partner Summit on Saturday, Triple H announced that the United Kingdom Tournament will be returning for two nights on June 18 and 19. The shows will take place at the famous Royal Elbert Hall in London.
The first tournament was held last year on January 14 and 15 and served to crown Tyler Bate as the first UK Champion. WWE’s long-term goal is still for them to get the division on television in that region.
Several weeks ago, Dave Meltzer was the first to report that there were things going on behind the scenes with the UK brand so this is likely what he was referring to. During a commercial that aired during the WWE Hall Of Fame broadcast, WWE first made the announcement about the return of the UK tournament and the return of the Mae Young Classic.
