Triple H spoke with Newsweek after Thursday’s WWE press conference in London. During the interview, he was asked about Chyna possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. Triple H said that he thinks that her being inducted has been brought up but did note that there are a lot of wrestlers in a long line that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame that will be in the Hall of Fame over time. He said that there is only so many wrestlers that can be inducted each year. He said that he doesn’t think that her passing earlier this year signifies any change of her accomplishments, which are documented and were massive in WWE history. “She’s a part of the Hall of Fame conversation, but she would have been anyway.”
When asked about the criticism over Goldberg defeating Brock Lesnar less than a minute at last month’s WWE Survivor Series PPV event, he noted that people never saw the match ending the way it did and it shocked them. He thinks that when WWE doesn’t shock the fans, then the fans say it’s too predictable.
When asked about the possibility of President-elect Donald Trump making an appearance at WrestleMania 33 next year in Orlando Florida, Triple H said that he believes Trump will have a busy schedule during that time but that you can never say never in WWE.
