Triple H vs. Randy Orton set for tonight’s WWE Raw

Triple H kicked off this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, in a late decision that was made after the company learned about Drew McIntyre’s situation.

Triple H did not get to say much because he was interrupted by Randy Orton, who was originally scheduled to face McIntyre on tonight’s show. Orton urged Triple H to hand over the WWE Championship since McIntyre is sitting at home.

Triple H denied Orton’s request but he praised his recent actions against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt because he would have done the exact same thing and because The Fiend was the one person standing in the way of getting to the WWE Championship. Triple H also said that he doesn’t understand why Orton has been attacking and humiliating different legends like Mark Henry, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and Ric Flair.

Orton then issued a challenge to face Triple H in a fight (not a match) in the main event of Raw. Triple H declined the offer but after Orton made a comment about having his balls in Stephanie McMahon’s purse, Triple H punched Orton in the face, which Orton took as Triple H accepting the challenge.

The announcers said that they did not know if Triple H actually accepted the challenge for tonight but it certainly appears to be the case.

UPDATE: Triple H accepted the challenge later in the show. He said he would fight Orton on behalf of every legend that paved the way.
