Triple H Thinks Gage Goldberg Has A Future In WWE: “I Can See This Sparkle In Gage’s Eyes”

One night after WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg wrestled his farewell match, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed the potential of another Goldberg stepping into the squared circle. At the post-WWE Evolution press conference, Triple H spoke about Goldberg’s son, Gage Goldberg, and his potential future in WWE.

Triple H On The Next Generation Of Goldberg

When asked about Gage, who was present for his father’s final match, Triple H noted that he sees a genuine interest in the business from the young athlete. He confirmed that Gage has been clear about his desire to pursue wrestling if a career in professional football does not materialize.

“He probably won’t be the last Goldberg in the business,” Triple H said. “I can see this sparkle in Gage’s eyes, and he’s been very clear about it – if the NFL doesn’t work out, here he comes. So we’ll see.”

From The Football Field To The Squared Circle?

Gage Goldberg is currently focused on his American football career but was ringside for his father’s final match against GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gage has previously stated that he views a potential WWE career as a “backup plan” if his football ambitions don’t come to fruition, an idea his father has publicly supported.

Should Gage Goldberg eventually join WWE, he would follow in the footsteps of a long line of successful second and third-generation superstars. The current WWE landscape includes top stars like Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, and Bron Breakker, all of whom have carved out their own legacies while honoring their family’s history in the business.
