Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown had a heated confrontation between three of the top competitors in the women’s division, setting the stage for a major title match next week. Nia Jax kicked off the segment by stepping into the ring and declaring herself the “Alpha female” of WWE. She expressed frustration with the catchphrase “It’s Tiffy Time,” referring to current WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, and claimed responsibility for putting Stratton “in time out.” Jax also took aim at Jade Cargill, saying that while Cargill may look impressive, she gets “annihilated” once the bell rings.
Tiffany Stratton soon interrupted from the entrance ramp. She responded to Jax’s comments by saying she’s tired of hearing Nia talk about her and dismissed Jade Cargill’s superhero persona, telling her to “take her cape off.” Stratton said she is going to show why she holds the WWE Women’s Championship and made it clear she’s ready to face both challengers.
As Stratton attempted to approach the ring, security personnel intervened and blocked her path. Moments later, Jade Cargill made her entrance, striking several security guards and walking past Stratton with the intent to confront Jax directly. Before she could enter the ring, additional security arrived and restrained her, preventing the situation from escalating further.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then came out to restore order. He warned all three women that any further physical altercations would result in serious consequences. Aldis concluded the segment by announcing that next week’s SmackDown will feature a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship, pitting Tiffany Stratton against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill.
Tiffany Stratton captured the WWE Women’s Championship earlier this year and has since faced challenges from both Jax and Cargill. Nia Jax, a former champion herself, has been vocal about reclaiming her spot at the top, while Jade Cargill is looking to make her mark in the company. The triple threat match promises to be a very good showdown in the women’s division.
