In a recent interview, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque gave his most direct public comments to date regarding the sexual assault allegations against Vince McMahon. While he took a somewhat dismissive stance, he emphasized the company’s focus on moving forward.
‘All We Can Do Is Move Forward’
Speaking in an exclusive UK interview on “The Sports Agents,” Triple H acknowledged the complexity of the situation but stressed that his focus is on the business and the creative product.
“All we can do is move forward for us as a company, creative, you know, all we can do is move forward, and allegations are allegations. Right, it’s a complicated relationship for anybody in life,” Triple H stated. “Nobody is perfect. Accusations are made, and that’s a whole legal thing that is totally separate and aside from what we do.”
Focusing On The Business
Levesque made it clear that his job is to maintain WWE’s creative direction and pointed to the company’s current success as evidence of their stability. “My job is to put on the best creative product that WWE can do,” he said, noting business is “in an incredible place right now and continuing to grow.”
The comments represent Triple H’s most direct public address of the situation since the lawsuit alleging sexual assault and trafficking was filed against Vince McMahon, which led to McMahon’s departure from the company. Levesque pointed to WWE’s strengthened partnerships with major media companies like Netflix and NBC as proof that the company has successfully navigated the transition period.
