WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has provided an optimistic update on the possibility of WrestleMania coming to London, England. While stopping short of a confirmation, he indicated that WWE is actively exploring the idea.
‘We’re Wide Open For Business’
During an exclusive UK interview on “The Sports Agents,” Triple H discussed the potential of bringing WWE’s biggest show of the year across the pond. His comments come after recent meetings between WWE leadership and London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan.
“I cannot confirm. But, like you know, we’re wide open for business, and as we said with the mayor when we were there… we’re open for business,” Triple H revealed. He emphasized that any deal would need “the right time with the right opportunity and the right terms for everybody involved where it works.”
A Global Expansion Strategy
A London WrestleMania would be a landmark event, as the show has never been held outside of North America. Levesque highlighted the company’s global expansion strategy and praised the passionate WWE fans in London.
“We’re a global company and we want to bring our biggest events and our best events all around the globe,” he stated, calling London “a second home for us” with “amazing” fans. He concluded by saying, “We look forward to hearing from the mayor again and continuing our conversations.”
The positive comments from Triple H will surely fuel more speculation among UK fans. WWE has held several successful major premium live events in the UK in recent years, including Clash at the Castle and Money in the Bank, proving the market is more than ready for a show of WrestleMania’s magnitude.
