Trish Stratus Addresses Her Future After WWE Evolution Match

After competing in her first singles match in nearly a year at last night’s WWE Evolution event, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus addressed her future in the ring. Though she came up short in her championship match, Stratus received a standing ovation and hinted that her in-ring career is not over yet.

Stratus Reflects On Her In-Ring Return

During the WWE Evolution post-show, Stratus spoke about the experience of competing against the current generation of superstars. She said she felt “blessed” to be a part of the show and to see how the current roster has built a “skyscraper” on the foundation her generation created.

“I have that thought like, ‘Is this the last time? It could be.’ The WWE fans has been so wondeful to me and so supportive,” Stratus said. “I just feel so blessed to dip my toes into the current landscape. It’s been 20 years. Is it 2005? Like, what the heck.”

Is It Over? ‘Not Until You Say It’s Over’

When asked directly if she would be back in a WWE ring, Stratus gave a strong indication that she plans to wrestle again. She noted that this is a special year for her career and she wants to make the most of it.

“I want to knock down the preconceived notions about maybe there is no expiration date until you say it is. It’s not over until you say it’s over,” she said, before adding, “It’s my 25th year. Let’s make it a good one.”

While Stratus was unsuccessful in her effort to capture the title, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton retained her championship in one of the biggest victories of her career.
