Trish Stratus On Potential WWE Return: It Would Have To Be A Challenge For Me And Different For The Fans

Trish Stratus won’t come out to confirm whether she intends to return to WWE for one more match but would entertain the idea.

Stratus recently told Scott Fishman of TVInsider that she couldn’t retire from wrestling without being rag-dolled by WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. Stratus returned in early 2023 for a feud with Damage CTRL, where she aligned with Lita and Becky Lynch.

During the run, Stratus turned heel, attacking Lynch and aligning with Zoey Stark before putting over Lynch in a steel cage match at the WWE Payback 2023 premium live event. She last appeared as the host of the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event earlier this year and did a segment with Tiffany Stratton. Since then, she has teased a potential match with Stratton.

Stratus told Sports Illustrated that if she ever wrestles again, it has to mean something both for her and the fans.

“I have to be able to deliver a hundred percent. Then also, it has to be something challenging and different for the fans. And it has to do something and mean something. To leave off on this epic moment that’s memorable and people talk about it, it’s hard. Like, what can top that?”

Stratus added that she would have to look at the landscape and see what works for both sides regarding the storyline and opponent. Stratus’ WWE 25th anniversary will be in 2025.
