WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will indeed be wrestling Charlotte Flair at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event.
As noted, Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet was the first to report that WWE and Stratus were in talks to have the legendary pro wrestler work at this show. On Wednesday, John Pollock of PostWrestling.com was able to confirm that the match is happening.
This comes after Flair hinted on SmackDown Live she would have a match at SummerSlam that would prove she is the greatest of all-time. This is a notable contest as it marks the first time that Stratus and Flair have ever wrestled together.
This also marks Stratus’ return to the ring in her hometown and her first match since last October at the Evolution event. As of this writing, WWE has yet to officially announce the match but is expected to do so in the near future.
The SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Here is the updated card:
