The next few weeks of Smackdown Live will be placeholder shows since the next Smackdown-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane, will not take place until March.
That means that we will see some title matches on TV. It was announced on Smackdown Live that next week’s show will feature Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. The winner of that match will get a WWE Championship match at WWE Fastlane.
Also, Rusev will challenge Bobby Roode for the United States Championship. It will be interesting to see if Dolph Ziggler has a role on the show.

In other Smackdown Live-related news, just a few hours before this week’s show, Daniel Bryan revealed a new ranking system for the brand.
Fellow Smackdown Superstar will be able to vote on who they think is best for the following criteria:
– Overall talent
– Locker room leadership
– Athletic Skill
A Superstar cannot vote for him/herself. The voting will help Commissioner Shane McMahon and GM Daniel Bryan figure out which wrestlers are most deserving of future opportunities.
