The dark main events after Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown Live and 205 Live went off the air in San Antonio, TX at the AT&T Center saw the top two champions on the blue brand defend their titles.
The first match saw SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley retain her title over Charlotte Flair by pinfall with the Bayley-to-Belly suplex. It should be noted that Flair didn’t appear on Tuesday’s show.
The other match saw WWE Champion Kofi Kingston retain his title over Dolph Ziggler once Ziggler got himself DQ’d after using a kendo stick on Kingston. Kofi fought back to stand tall to close the show.
Fans in attendance noted that there were some fans who left before Bayley vs. Flair even started and more walked towards the exits before Kingston vs. Ziggler.
Great 15 min dark match between Kofi and Ziggler. Lots of cool moves, & kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. Dolph loses on DQ, using the Kendo stick.#wwe #SmackDownLive #SDLive #wwesantonio pic.twitter.com/3V7eYhXEEt
