Two former WWE wrestlers file a class action concussion lawsuit against WWE

Former WWE stars Big Vito (real name Vito Lograsso) and Adam Mercer (Evan Singleton) have filed a class-action concussion lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment in Pennsylvania. Both men are being represented by the same lawyer as Billy Jack Haynes. Haynes also has a lawsuit against WWE and both lawsuits are pretty much identical.

Singleton, who was in WWE’s developmental program, says that he sustained multiple traumas and a head injury in a match with Erick Rowan. “After approximately 15 matches, during which he sustained multiple traumas, he suffered a serious head injury during a match with Eric Rowen [sic]. The WWE cleared him to continue wrestling after inadequate rest time and downplayed his injury.”

Singleton was out of action for five months after that match. He wrestled one more match for them and then was released from his developmental deal. Singleton says that he has suffered severe neurological symptoms and found out later that he had bleeding in the left hemisphere of his brain.

Lograsso said in his complaint that he “suffers from serious neurological damage, including severe headaches, memory loss, depression and anxiety, as well as deafness.”

Fans may remember Lograsso as Big Vito from the final year of WCW and in the mid 2000s on Smackdown where his gimmick was that he wrestled in a dress.
