Two interesting names work WWE SmackDown dark matches

Two interesting names worked the dark matches for the WWE SmackDown Live TV event in New Orleans, LA at the Smoothie Center. Those names are future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Smackdown Women’s Champion Asuka.

First up, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion worked a match before SmackDown Live went live on the USA Network as he teamed up with R-Truth to defeat The Colons in tag team action. It should be noted that he didn’t appear on the broadcast of this episode.

After SmackDown and 205 Live went off the air, Asuka retained her title over Charlotte Flair. Asuka picked up the win with the Asuka Lock to send the crowd home happy.

It appears that WWE is setting up a feud between Asuka and Mandy Rose as the SmackDown star beat the champion in a non-title match on SmackDown Live.

WWE will likely announce this contest for the Fastlane pay-per-view event on March 10, 2019 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
