Two more MMA Horsewomen will make their WWE in-ring debut this week

Ronda Rousey is the top female Superstar on WWE’s main roster and Shayna Baszler is the female face of NXT. Now, the other two MMA Horsewomen will be stepping into the wrestling ring.

Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke will be wrestling on their first NXT show in Largo, Florida on Thursday. Both women are long-time friends of Ronda Rousey and lifelong wrestling fans. You might remember that they were seen at the Mae Young Classic and they did a backstage face-off with the WWE Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch) last year at Full Sail University during an NXT taping.

Both women signed with WWE back and May and have been working out at the Performance Center. They also have done some wrestling training in California before signing with WWE.

Duke hasn’t fought in UFC since 2015 and Shafir, the wife of Roderick Strong, previously fought for Invicta. Once Rousey signed with the company last January, it was expected that they would be signed to a contract.

The timing for their debut is interesting because the Evolution pay-per-view in October will feature Superstars from NXT. The timing of their in-ring debut could mean that WWE wants to get them ready for Evolution where we could see the reunited Horsewomen.
