It looks the NXT roster will be dramatically different this summer if certain moves are made.
As it was first noted this week by WrestleTalk, Chelsea Green is another name that has been discussed for a main roster call-up. That likely explains why she split away from Robert Stone on NXT TV.
The other name that has been reported is Dominik Dijakovic, who tweeted out a photo of the United States Championship apparently hinting at challenging Apollo Crews soon.
Wrestling Inc. is reporting that two other names are in discussions about moving up to the main roster. According to the report, Io Shirai and Velveteen Dream could land on Raw or SmackDown in the near future. There were rumors about Dream moving up to the main roster several months ago but those plans apparently changed.
Back in January, Dave Meltzer reported that Shirai was not happy about the way she was being used in NXT and Bushiroad, Stardom’s parent company, was interested in signing her after her WWE contract expired. There is no word yet on when her contract will expire but the decision to move Shirai and Dream could be because they want to keep them happy. Meltzer indicated last week that Riddle was likely moved up to the main roster to keep him happy because he has other places to go after his deal expires.
