Two NXT stars headed to SmackDown for WWE Draft (SPOILER)

WWE officials are high on Pretty Deadly as they’ve constantly been pushed throughout their time with the promotion, whether in NXT UK, NXT, or when used sparingly on the main roster.

The tag team has held gold in NXT UK and NXT thus far in their careers. This past January, they worked a handful of live events on the main roster when they wrestled then-NXT Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) after dropping the titles to them at the NXT Deadline event on December 10.

On Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, Pretty Deadly lost to Tony D’Angelo and Stacks in a Trunk Match when they were thrown in the trunk of a car. At the end of the episode, Tony and Stacks were shown tossing Pretty Deadly into a lake where it was implied they were “swimming with the fishes.”

Pwinside Elite reports that the tag team will be backstage at Friday’s SmackDown, the first night of the WWE Draft that continues next Monday at Raw.

As previously reported, Pretty Deadly has been considered among other names to be called up to the main roster. Thee timing of them being at SmackDown and the angle on NXT indicate their heavy favorites to be called up.
