Two Raw stars file trademarks for non-WWE names

In an interesting move, Charlotte Flair and Andrade have filed trademarks for their non-WWE names.

On November 27, Charlotte Flair filed for the “Ashley Flair” and “The Queen of Wrestling” trademarks through her attorney. The trademark filings are for the following:

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Graphic T-shirts; Hats; Hooded sweat shirts; Pants; T-shirts; Short-sleeved or long-sleeved t-shirts

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network

Meanwhile, Andrade has filed for trademarks for “La Sombra” and “El Idolo.” The trademarks cover the following:

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Pants; Shirts

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network. The trademarks were filed by their attorney, Michael E. Dockins, and it does not necessarily mean that they have plans to wrestle elsewhere outside of WWE. This could have been done at the suggestion of their attorney for potential business opportunities or for their post-wrestling careers.
