The WWE Draft has concluded and although Paul Heyman did not get everyone he wanted, there is a nice group of talent on Monday Night Raw to work with. Heyman’s philosophy was to always look towards the future while accentuating the positives and hiding talent weakness.
In the case of Buddy Murphy and Aleister Black, there’s a lot of talent that can be spotlighted.
As noted on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer, Heyman is said to be “super high” on Buddy Murphy. Murphy has spent most of his main roster run on 205 Live and he was eventually moved to SmackDown but creative never did much for him. Now that he’s part of Monday Night Raw, Heyman will get the opportunity to push him beyond the lower part of the card.
In recent months, there have been hints of something more being done with Aleister Black but, for the most part, creative didn’t give him much to do on SmackDown. Heyman is said to be a big fan of his work.
Hopefully, Black and Murphy are given some time to run with the ball. Cedric Alexander is someone Heyman wanted to get behind but Vince McMahon made the decision to bury him a few weeks ago. Hopefully, this isn’t what happens with Black and Murphy.
