Two WWE stars pulled from SmackDown

WWE has made a change to a planned Women’s Tag Team Title tournament match that was slated for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

WWE had originally advertised Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark vs. Natalya & Sonya Deville in the tournament match on the show. As previously reported, WWE is bringing in former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) for the show.

Pwinsider.com reports the new plan is for Dolin & Jayne to replace Lyons & Stark to take on Natalya & Deville on the show.

Lyons is reportedly not at the WWE SmackDown event, and although not confirmed, Stark is likely also not at the show.

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, also part of the top heel faction, retained her title over Stark during Tuesday’s episode of NXT 2.0: Heatwave.

WWE previously announced that SmackDown will face feature Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns meeting Drew McIntyre face-to-face to hype their upcoming title match at Clash at the Castle and The Viking Raiders having a “Viking Funeral” for The New Day.
