Tyler Bate comments on facing Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover: Chicago, his WrestleMania weekend experience, more

WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate recently spoke with Justin Barrasso for Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard to promote NXT Takeover: Chicago this Saturday on the WWE Network. During the interview, he was asked about his in-ring ability and facing Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover: Chicago. This will be a rematch from the UK Championship tournament that took place in January.

“Fans will learn I am an alien and I’m capable of anything you can think of in a wrestling ring. Anything that you can possibly think of, I can more than likely do. I have no doubts that my match with Pete Dunne is going to steal the show at TakeOver. I plan on taking Pete’s head off and holding it high above my head for all of Chicago and the WWE to see.”

Bate, as well as several other UK talents, worked matches at WrestleMania Axxess last month. He was asked about his WrestleMania weekend experience, in which he recalled watching the Shane McMahon - AJ Styles match at WrestleMania 33.

“I got to go over and watch WrestleMania. AJ Styles and Shane McMahon was my favorite match this year. I’ve always been a big fan of the big flippy stuff, really, as ridiculous as that sounds. It’s really cool when Shane McMahon is able to pull out a shooting star press.”

Bate also talked about the reputation of Chicago’s wrestling crowds, and more. You can read the entire interview here.
