This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw closed out with boxing’s Lineal Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury being interviewed by Jerry “The King” Lawler in the ring. Fury was there to address Braun Strowman and to get an apology from him.
Last week on the debut of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, Fury and Strowman got into an altercation after Strowman shoved Dolph Ziggler into the barricade where Fury was sitting. The confrontation was broken up by WWE officials and security and it was picked up by several mainstream media outlets.
A few seconds into the segment, Strowman walked out to the ring to confront Fury. Strowman said he was just having some fun until he realized Fury wanted a piece of him so he decided to give him Ziggler as a present. Strowman said the last thing Fury wants is to get in his ring because he will eat Fury for lunch.
They got face to face and Strowman manhandled Fury into the corner but security flooded the ring to break them up and a big brawl broke out in the ring. Strowman and Fury knocked out all of the officials and security so the locker room ran out to break them up. The show ended with Fury and Strowman separated as Braun’s music played.
In a backstage interview, Strowman said he will never give Fury an apology. Strowman ran back into the ring again as the show ended. It looks like they are building towards Fury vs. Strowman for Crown Jewel.
WWE Crown Jewel will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, October 31st.
