Tyson Kidd’s neck injury much worse than reported and it could have been fatal

As we noted a couple of days ago, Tyson Kidd said on his twitter account that the type of neck injury he has is the type of injury that only five percent of people survive. Obviously the injury is much worse than anyone knew.

Dave Meltzer was told by someone close to the situation that Kidd’s tweet on his injury situation is legitimate and that doctors found out in the hospital in Texas, just after he suffered the injury, that he was lucky to be alive. Tyson was told that the injury could have been fatal because it was so high up on his neck. He was told that he survived because he is an athlete and he has a muscular neck.

Tyson got 16 staples, four screws, and a rod put in his neck.
